Favorite photos from the past month...

A recent photo of the Kuta, Bali crew. Chris, Anders, Scott, Laura & Laurie. This photo was taken from the Uluwatu Temple in Bali.
Sunset on the boat in Komoto National Park.
Visiting the temple of Ubud, Bali. Notice that there are two different species of primates in this photo! Hello to our Dutch sisters Paulina & Laura. Hope you made it home safe.
One of my favorite shots while in Lombok. This farmer is tending to his rice field. Rice and tobacco are the two main crops of Lombok, Indonesia. Lombok is the Island just east of Bali.

Mr. Fitzloff & Mr. Shirm (along with the rest of the crew) aboard the vessel that took us on our four day tour through Kmoto National Park to Flores.
Scott with Laurie (left) from England and Laura (right) from Germany. Both Laurie and Laura are solo travelers who joined our group for several days after returning from Flores, Indonesia.
While walking in between beaches we noticed something slithering along the exposed reef. Turned out to be the most lethal snake in the world (I think). Luckily this sea snake has a tiny mouth that can only bite you in between the fingers or on the ear. Still stay clear of this guy unless you are going in for a once in a lifetime snapshot.
This is a small day at one of Bali's most famous surf locations. Uluwatu is known for its powerful waves and nasty reef break. Every so often you see a surfer leaving the water with a giant gash on their back. This shot was taken from our lunch restaurant.
Preparing for day one of the "surf"ari! 8 boards head to "Dreamland" beach for an afternoon surf session. On this day Anders, Scott & Chris were surfing with a group from England.

Note:
Anders and Scott said goodbye to Chris this evening. Safe travels bro. Shirms how is the packing coming? We will be thinking of you!
Love,
Anders

Greetings Anders!
Whoa . . . beautiful photos you are sharing with us!
We relish the images and the written details.
Thank you for your post!

I think I can hear the waves breaking on the beach . . .

How are you two guys doing?
Are you beginning to dream of the USA?
We miss you.

Good waves to you and everyone else you meet along the way!

Can you tell more about the surfing? good? bad? too huge to enjoy? any more wounds like Benjy's and Scotty's Rinjani wounds? (be careful - your Dr. has left the country)
So excited to hear about Sumatra and Java - I think you see a lot of amazing parts of Indo very different than our first month.
Benjy and I are back from our drive marathon to Boston and back to MN. Lots of hours but we made it! 12 days and counting before school starts!

Hmmm... Somebody has a birthday coming up....
